Vestas to Supply Wind Turbines in India

Vestas has received an order for 34 units of the V82-1.65MW wind turbine for the Tuppadahalli Wind Farm project in the State of Karnataka, south India.
The contract comprises supply and commissioning of the turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA system as well as a 7-year service and maintenance agreement. Delivery is scheduled to start during the fourth quarter of 2010, and the project will be completed during the second quarter of 2011, Vestas said.


The order has been placed by Tuppadahalli Energy India Pvt Ltd, which is a Special Purpose Vehicle created by Acciona Energy India for the Tuppadahalli Wind Farm project.
