Hangar Ship To Rescue Tourists and Locals

Many are stuck at the small island because of the storm and flooding preventing boats from sailing out from the island.

Yesterday it only succeded Bangkok Airways to land two aircrafts at Koh Samui wich is the only island in the area that has got an airport. The Danish Embassy tells that about 1600 people needs to be rescued from Koh Pangan and Koh Samui.

The weather today is less aggressive and it has been possible to land aircrafts. At this very moment people are being rescued from Koh Samui.

The hangar ship have not had that luck. The great ship is not able to go ashore because of too many waves and wind. Instead they will send smaller vessels to go ashore, pick up trapped tourists and locals and return to the hangar ship. Then helicopters will transport the rescued from Bang Sapan pier to Samui Airport.

The hangar ship provides food, water and doctors.
