Telelogic makes software donation

Swedish software company Telelogic has donated its sophisticated DOORS software, an advanced requirements management RM tool, to the National University of Singapore’s Institute of System’s Science (ISS).
This gift of software license fees and consulting services to the university is worth over USD 640,000.
Under the one-year agreement, ISS will receive 50 concurrent seats of Telelogic DOORS for teaching purposes to enhance content and institute best RM practices for its advanced courses in Software Requirements Engineering.
In addition, students would be expected to use DOORS for requirements managements in their respective independent graduate level engineering projects.
“Telelogic’s robust approach to requirements engineering and management was perfectly suited to underscore our course contents,” says Dr. Pallab Saha, software engineering specialist at ISS. “Incorporating DOORS into the curriculum also allows students take back their experience with a world class RM tool and introduce best practices for requirements management into their respective organisations upon graduation.
“The concepts and curriculum being taught at the National University of Singapore’s prestigious Institute of Systems Science underscore the importance of requirements driven development and innovation,” says Anders Lidbeck, president and CEO of Telelogic. “It is with the greatest pleasure that Telelogic makes this contribution to the education of today’s software engineering students and to the future they will create.”
