The Chinese carrier Juneyao Air celebrated the opening of its second direct flight to Finland at Zhengzhou airport on Sunday 18 October 2020. The opening ceremony was attended by, among others, the Finnish Ambassador H.E. Jarno Syrjälä, Vice Governor of Henan province Huang Qiang, Chairman of Henan Airport Group Kang Shengzhen and CEO of Juneyao Air Zhao Hongliang.
The inaugural flight departed from Zhengzhou early in Monday morning at 01:55 am (Chinese time) and arrived in Helsinki in morning at 6:10 am (Finnish time). At the moment, the route is flown once a week on Mondays. In addition to Zhengzhou, Juneyao Air flies to Helsinki also from Shanghai.
