August Strindberg’s “Miss Julie” will be performed as a monologue by Anna Pettersson at Penghao Theatre in Beijing in July.
Anna Pettersson is an actress, director and drama teacher. She has played leading roles in productions both at the Stockholm City Theatre and the Swedish Royal Dramatic Theatre and worked with leading Swedish dramatists like Lars Norén and Kristina Lugn. She has written plays for herself and others, performed in about 20 TV and movie productions, and have also directed several plays.
Pettersson was awarded the Dagens Nyheter Culture Award, TCO’s Culture Award and the Swedish Section of the International Association of Theatre Critics Theatre Award for her performance of “Miss Julie”. In July 2013 she will receive the award for Actor of the Year in Prespa, Macedonia.
