At a time when the Chinese government is trying to punish Norway over a Nobel Peace Prize awarded in Oslo four years ago, one of China’s largest real estate developers wants to invest in Norway and other Scandinavian countries and Baltic states.
Newspaper Dagens Næringsliv (DN) reported that Huang Nubo isn’t refusing to speak with Norwegians like his government is. On the contrary, he notes that China’s emerging middle class will form the world’s largest travel market, and that many may want to visit Scandinavia, not least Norway. Lots already are, with Chinese tourists registering among the largest increases among all tourists in Norway in recent years.
