Christmas Bazaar at The Norwegian Seamen’s Church

This weekend saw the Norwegian Seamen’s Church in Singapore hosting their annual Christmas Bazaar. more than 800 people visited the bazar that had around 60 volenteers, served cinnamon buns at a bakery stand and had a lottery with prizes like a night at Marina Bay Sands Hotel and a Playstation 4.

Among the contributors to the Christmas bazaar was Kongsberg Maritime, Thome Group and AJM Ship /Arnt J. Mørland. 

“We at the Seamen’s Church are lightheaded, excited, gratefull, tired and happy,” the Seamens Chruch wrotes on their Facebook page after the weekend.

At the bazaar people were able to buy freshly baked bread, felted gnomes, herring and much more. Every dollar spent is going to the church’s work  in Singapore.

Games such as tandem-ski-stafet was enjoyed by both children and adults and christmas stories with music captivated children and created real festive spirit.

 

The Seamen’s church also posted a message full of thank yous on their website.

“Thank you to all of you who came and shopped with us and who sent friends and acquaintances to the Seamen’s church! We are already looking forward to the Christmas Bazaar 2016!”

Before the second day of the Christmas Bazaar opened on Sunday, there was a service in which candles were lit and prayers were said for all those affected by terror attack in Paris.
