Danish embassy in Bangkok seeking three new interns

The Embassy of Denmark in Thailand is hiring three new interns from August 1 till January 31. The interns will be a part of three dynamic teams in the areas Politics, Administration  and Public Diplomacy; Development cooperation with Myanmar; Promoting exports and corporate collaboration.

Politics, Administration and Public Diplomacy

The work will include the embassy’s coverage of domestic and foreign policy in Thailand, including relations with the neighbouring countries, international organizations and questions regarding human rights. This means collecting information, participating in political meetings and minor analytical work. As an intern you will be directly involved in correspondence between Danish and Thai authorities and the planning of various events.

Development cooperation with Myanmar

The job will be an opportunity to gain an insight in the Danish development cooperation with Myanmar and to a lesser degree the political development in Myanmar. The job includes contributing to the administrative work with development projects in Myanmar, participating as an observer in various meetings, preparing for visits from Denmark and updating the embassy’s website.

Promoting exports and corporate collaboration

The job is an opportunity to develop knowledge of business and social conditions in Thailand and Cambodia. You will have the chance of being in contact with businesses in different sectors in both the Thai and Cambodian markets as well as the Danish.  The job will include marketing Danish business, market analysis, finding ways of distribution, consulting Danish businesses and more. The job provides an opportunity of hands on experience in promoting exports.

The internship is offered to Danish citizens or persons with ties to Denmark who have a relevant bachelor.
