Danish racing talent in Thailand wins Rising Star award

Danish racing driver Victor Conrad Spliid Jensen is currently winning most every race in Thailand, that he is driving in. Friday 30 November he was awarded “Rising Star” in the Thailand Super Series award ceremony.

Only 17 year old,the young super talent started off driving go-kart like so many other young motorsports enthusiasts. But Victor showed so impressive progress from 2015 up through 2017 that he was in March this year adopted by TR Motorsports as a member of their racing team.

TR Motorsport is owned by Danish Porsche driver Thomas Raldorf who has lived in Thailand since 1998. His team has a proud history of nurturing young driving talent and has developed the careers of several drivers over the years helping them to realise their motorsport dreams, not only in Thailand but also throughout the world. Recent success stories from the TR Motorsport development program are two other Scandinavian rising talents, the half Norwegian Sandy Stuvik and the half Danish Lemvard, who have both now become professional racing drivers. TR Motorsports assigned Jack Lemvard to be Victor Jensen’s coach.

Victor has this year been driving for TR Motorsports in the ‘ALTIS’ Class of the Toyota One Make Race Series and Class-C of the Super Production Championship in the Thailand Super Series.

In an interview after joining the TRM team, Victor said

“I am very happy to have the chance of working with Thomas and TR Motorsport, I was impressed to see how they work with data analysis to help set up the car and develop their drivers. They have built a new car for me that I will use for the Super Production Class of the Thailand Super Series. I have already completed over 200 laps around Bira Circuit in Pattaya to get a feel for the car and by the end of the first day my lap times were already competitive, so I know this is the best way forward for me regarding my career.”

It is only 2 years ago, this photo was taken of Victor driving Go-Kart in December 2015.
