Danish String Quartet to play in Hong Kong

The critically acclaimed Danish String Quartet will soon be making a Hong Kong debut.

The quartet debuted in 2002 at the Copenhagen Summer Festival and has since been touring with a sets ranging from Beethoven to traditional Danish folk music. In 2012 The New York Times praised a concert by the quartet, saying that the performance featured “one of the most powerful renditions of Beethoven’s Opus 132 String Quartet that I’ve heard live or on a recording.”

The Danish Chamber of Commerce writes that “this unusually blonde and bearded young string quartet has been winning the world over with their “warmth, wit, beautiful tone, and technical prowess” (NPR)”.

The concert will take place on the 3rd of June. Tickets can be purchased here.
