Touch Green Energy, a run to encourage a healthy lifestyle and the increased use of sustainable energy sources, wrapped up the Renewable Energy Week 2018 on Sunday 26 August in Hanoi.

The run was one of five main activities during Renewable Energy Week 2018, which is supported by the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam.

Besides the main events held in three big cities, 18 side events were also arranged in different places throughout Vietnam. Touch Green Energy attracted more than 700 runners competing in various distances ranging from 3, 5, 10 to 15 kilometers.

One of the runners was from Louise Holmsgaard, Charge d’Affaires of the Danish Embassy, who also presented awards to the winners of each category.

All proceeds from the marathon will be donated to build electric systems run by renewable energy for schools in remote areas without access to the national grid.

Renewable Energy Week is co-organized by Vietnam Sustainable Energy Alliance (VSEA) and Climate Change Working Group (CCWG).
