Danish Christmas bazar in Bangkok: A big success

On 25 November the first Danish Christmas Bazar arranged by Danish Women’s Network and the Danish Church in Bangkok took place at the Emporium Suites in Bangkok. The event turned out to be an overwhelming success.

Danish Christmas cookies, Christmas decorations and gløgg. You could get almost everything you need for Christmas at the Danish Christmas bazar in Bangkok.

The Danish Church estimated as the event was getting to the end, that at least 500 people had visited the bazar, which they considered a huge success.

The Danish Ambassador to Thailand, Uffe Wolffhechel, held the opening speak and later on a group of children made a Santa Lucia Parade. The rest of the day, the visitors were free to taste Danish food or shop for Christmas gifts.

The visitors could buy handcrafted traditional Danish Christmas decorations made by members of DWN. All the profit from DWN’s sales went to Children of the Forest, an organization that helps migrant children in Thailand.

It was also possible to buy gifts from Danish and international designers and brands such as B&O, Rosendahl, Eva solo and Stelton.

Furthermore, visitors could also participate in a charity lottery with prizes from sponsors such as Pandora, B&O, Danish Design, Elizabeth Romhild design, Danish Loft Design, Mikkeller Beer, Felt and Co, Doitung Lifestyle, Fyn Bakery, Conrads Deli, Floral Advantage and Elite Training Center.
