About the speaker:
Mark Tanner is the Founder and Managing Director of Shanghai-based marketing, research and digital agency China Skinny. It is one of China’s best-known agencies, regularly quoted in media including Bloomberg and Reuters and publishing the most-read newsletter about marketing in China. China Skinny’s clients span all corners of the world including The Finnish Fund for Innovation, Colgate, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Tourism Malaysia, House of Fraser, Tom Tailor, ANZ and Westpac Banks, Fonterra and New Zealand Trade & Enterprise.
Bringing perspective from working in China, Europe, North America, Australasia and Africa, Mark is a regular China commentator and keynote speaker at events from Shanghai to Sydney, Hong Kong to Helsinki. On a personal front, Mark has a love for travel and adventure, which has seen him lead the world’s first paddle down the Nile River, hunt for ancient Viking treasure in Iceland and cycle across Canada mid-winter.
