Hawkerfood is one of the many cultural treasures of Singapore. Come along on a guided gastronomic food safari to Bukit Timah on Tuesday 19 April with Tirsdagsforum, beginning from 11am to 1pm.
A hawker centre is a gathering of small stalls selling local, good and hearty food for a decent price. The centre consists of difference levels. The one we are visiting in Bukit Timah, sells fruit, greens, meat, flowers and fish on ground floor, but our goal is to take you to the first floor, where not less than 83 small stalls serves different warm and cold dishes and beverages. It will be Helen from the Sjomannskirken to guide us, and she has already pre-made a little folder for you, so you can prepare yourself for the safari tour. You can find the link to the foulder on their webste.
Together the tour will order lunch together, and Sjomannskirken will bring extra cutlery and plates, that way any will have a chance to try something they have not dared to try yet.
