On Tuesday 5 April 2016 the Seamen’s Church in Singapore has dedicated the day to Norwegian culture. Look forward for a day as Norwegian as it can be!
From 10.30am the Seamen’s Church invites for a national romantic concert, where Henriette Wie Flaig and Øystein Tønnesen will play both old and modern Norwegian music. After the concert Norwegian dishes will be served; “rømmegrøt” (=sour-cream porridge) and “spekemat” (dried meats) – it doesn’t get more Norwegian!
The theme for the day is Norwegian romantic nationalism, and the concert will consist of various pieces. Music by Edvard Grieg, Ketil Bjørnstad, Henning Sommerro, Edvard Fliflet Bræin and Trygve Madsen will be played by Henriette and Øystein. They will also make sure a lot of unkown musical pieces will be heard, too.
Come and join for a Norwegian cultural experience, beginning from 10am, where coffee and tea will be served. The concert will hereafter begin 10.30am and last for an hour. The lunch will be served at 11:30am.
Price: SGD 20
The Seamen’s Church looks forward to see you for a true Norwegian experience!
