Saima from Scandinavian Women’s Association has offered SWA a private tour of the British Museum special exhibit ”Treasures of the World” at the National Museum of Singapore on Tuesday 15 March from 10.15am.
National Museum of Singapore (93 Stamford rd.) is currently hosting for a limited time a highly anticipated exhibition from the British Museum in London, the Treasures of the World.
It is the first time that this touring exhibition is on display in Southeast Asia.
Come for a personalized tour lead by the exhibition volunteer guides. There are 239 exceptional objects from the collection of the British Museum presented here in Singapore – reflecting ancient civilizations and treasures from Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, Europe, Americas and Asia. The oldest object on display was made around 800,000 years ago. Every object tells a story, sometimes even more than one, as it reflects the society that created and used it. This is an exciting opportunity to get up close to some of the Treasures of the World.
Meeting place: National Museum of Singapore, entrance hall (93 Stamford rd.)
Ticket price: SGD20
