Event Details

On Monday 7 March 2016 SWEA invites you behind the scenes of the beautiful Esplanade Theatre.

How can a big concert aula changes sound volume, so it sounds like you are inside a tiny room? Why can’t you hear the sounds outside when you’re inside a theater? And why does Esplanaden look like a durian fruit?

The answers to these questions (and many, many more) will be told on a special designed guided tour inside Esplanaden. It begins 9:30

In less than 2 hours the tour will guide participants behind and in front of the scenes, in the orchester place, the artist lounge, the dressing room, etc. You will get a deeper understanding about how everything works before, during and after a show, and you will learn the architectual benefits the building has together with a lesson on the development of the art of music in Singapore.

The price is SGD 30, and you pay at the meeting point on Information at Mezzanine Level inside Esplanaden.

Register at no later than 29 February 2016.
