Therefore, the mission of the association 10 years ago was to provide Swedish expats knowledge and understanding about Thailand such as “the way to live appropriately in Thailand and what to do and not to do in Thailand.”

Nowadays, the members have been staying in Thailand for 10 years. They know much more about Thailand. So, their demands have changed and also, “we have to have more ideas and activities in order to serve different demands of the members,” he told.

The mission of the association at the present focuses most on forming connection within the members as can be seen from their activities such as golf club, reading book club, Thai cooking course and playing card group that were held once a month.

Moreover, Lars shared to Scandasia that the association has arranged meetings once a month during the high season of Thailand from October to March and their latest meeting was “Membership meeting” taking place on Tuesday, 12 March 2019.
