On 26 April Malaysian Danish Business Council (MDBC) hosted what was described as a “fascinating visit to hazardous waste management centre”.

MDBC members got the chance to experience the Kualiti Alam Waste Management Centre and see how hazardous waste can be properly disposed of in Malaysia. The Centre’s Danish Chief Technical Officer, Mogens Straarup, gave a presentation of the Centre and expansion projects, followed by a tour of the different parts of the Centre.

Kualiti Alam is a Cenviro company, which owns and operates the only integrated hazardous waste management centre in Malaysia. The facility has the capacity to store, treat and dispose more than 100,000 tonnes of all classes of hazardous wastes annually.
