The Norwegian embassy in Hanoi welcomes 62 year old Grethe Løchen as new Ambassador to Vietnam.
Grethe Løchen is cand.philol. and has been employed in the Foreign Service since 2002. She served as Minister of the Embassy in Kabul 2010-2012, Ambassador to Sri Lankan 2012-2015 and Senior Adviser in the Foreign Ministry from 2015 to 2018.
“Ambassador Grete brings with her extensive and cross-cultural knowledge and expertise. She is very committed and passionate about promoting Norwegian engagement with Vietnam as well as further boosting the decades-long bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the areas of mutual interest,” writes the Norwegian embassy on their facebook page.
Grethe Løchen looks forward to experience Vietnam and is happy to be in Hanoi, she writes on Twitter.
