“In spite of many challenges in and around our projects for children, we are very proud as a Danish initiated and Danish managed NGO to have just received a Philippine Presidential Award by His Excellency the  President Benigno S. Aquino III himself  on the 5th December at Malacanang, for our work to educate more than 2000 Stateless and Philippine children in Sabah, who have no other access to school,” he writes in an e-mail.

The organization was founded in 1991 to help marginalized stateless children of Filipino and Indonesian descent in the Sabah.
