The Swedish Parliament Committee on Transport and Communications, led by their President Ms. Karin Svensson-Smith visited Shanghai on September 8-9.
During their visit the Committee had round table talks with members of the Swedish Automotive industry in Shanghai, they took part in the inauguration of Volvo Car’s new R&D facilities in Jiading and they visited Shanghai Port (Yangshan).
The visit in Shanghai was part of a longer visit in China which started in Beijing and included visits to Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hongkong. Sweden and China have a comprehensive cooperation in the area of transport based on a bilateral MoU spanning all sectors of transportation, emphasizing environment and safety and with the active participation of both public and private stake holders.
