Team Finland China met on 25 – 26 September in Beijing with a program open for Finnish companies to join as well as the Finnish Embassy in China, Business Finland and Finnish Business Councils.
The meeting kicked off on 25 September with a dinner reception and networking for companies at the Ambassador’s Residence.
The morning of 26 September started with an opening speech by the Ambassador of Finland in China Mr. Jarno Syrjälä and Economist Intelligence Unit giving a presentation on regional development and smart cities.
The calendar of the Sino-Finnish Thematic Year on Winter Sports and the sponsor opportunities for companies were discussed followed by a presentation on the current political situation in China.
The Team Finland network promotes Finland and its interests abroad. The Team Finland operating model brings together the key actors and services in these fields. The core of the network consists of the publicly funded organizations operating in these fields, such as the ministries, Finland’s network of diplomatic missions, Business Finland, national culture and science institutes, Finnvera, Finnfund, and the regional internationalization services, built upon the ELY Centers.
