On May 29, 2013, the Danish pump manufacturer Grundfos celebrated its 20th anniversary in Thailand. On that occasion, the ambassador was invited to give a speech.
400 people attended the event that was characterized by a number of speeches, shows and a ceremony, focusing on the theme innovation.
One of the speakers was the Danish ambassador to Thailand, Mikael H. Winther. He stressed the importance for Denmark of having successful companies in Thailand like Grundfos who strongly represents Danish values as well as quality products and high ethical business standards.
Chairman Niels Due Jensen recently told the Bangkok Post that the quality of skilled labour makes Thailand an attractive expansion market.
Grundfos is interested in investing more in Thailand, most probably in the electronic or electrical appliance lines. With our expertise and the quality of skilled labour here, this field is the most obvious way to go.”
Grundfos employs over 18,000 people globally with annual turnover of US$4 billion.
