The Embassy of Sweden to promote Swedish food culture in Malaysia

In ten days of September the Embassy of Sweden in Malaysia will put focus on Swedish culinary traditions with the event Culinary Sweden.

The Embassy if Sweden in Malaysia is organizing the event Culinary Sweden together with the Sweden-Malaysia Innovation Initiatives.

The event that runs from 12 – 22 September includes several smaller events such as the Young Chef Challenge and The Art of Culinary – Photography Contest.

“The purpose of this event is to profile Sweden as the new great food nation, to promote and raise awareness of the unique Swedish cuisine and to encourage cultural exchange through food between Malaysian and Swedish Community,” according to the event’s Facebook-page.

  1. Food culture in Sweden, really; never heard of. OK, except for ‘Varm Korv med potatismos, Pyt i Panna”Koetbullar’ and then those damned CRAYFISH.
