Two Danish restaurants in top five of World’s 50 Best Restaurants

Two restaurants from Copenhagen, Denmark namely Noma and Geranium secured top five in World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards 2019 released on June 25, 2019.

Noma came in the 2nd while Geranium ranked at the 5th of the award in which its ceremony was recently held on June 25, 2019 for the first time in Asia by Singapore after taking place in New York, Australia and the Basque Country of Spain since its start in 2016.

French restaurant Mirazur won the top spot of World’s 50 Best Restaurants making it the Best Restaurant in Europe.

For Asian restaurants, Gaggan from Thailand ranked the 4th making it become the best in Asia and Singapore’s Odette jumped 10 spots to No 18.

Voting process and results are adjudicated by world-renowned professional services consultancy Deloitte and “the list is created from the votes of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, comprising over 1,000 international restaurant industry experts,” according to the award’s website.
