Opening of Danish Film Festival in the Philippines

The 4th installment of the Danish Film Festival in the Philippines starts on 8 November in Manila.

From 8 – 11 November nine Danish full-length films will be hitting the screens, four of which for the first time ever in the Philippines, the Danish Embassy has announced.

The opening film will be Land of Mine (Under Sandet), best non-English Oscar nominee starring Roland Møller and Mikkel Boe Følsgaard directed by Martin Pieter Zandvliet.

As part of Danish and Philippine cultural relations, a special screening of Dagsin, a multi-awarded Indie Movie by Filipino Filmmaker Atom Magadia. Inspired by the ideas of Danish Philosopher Søren Kierkegaard and French Existentialist Albert Camus will be shown during the course of the festival.
