Premiere on TV Series About Norwegians Living Abroad

This Wednesday 4 January 2011 the first episode in the Norwegian TV Seriens “Langt hjemmefra” (“Far away from home”) will be screened at the Norwegian Church in Pattaya.


The TV series will run simultaneously on TV2 back in Norway in January and February.


Among the people we should expect to meet in the first episode is Finn (Finna) Vengsholt and his wife Khun Lek.


Inviting the community to watch the premiere, the Church notes:


“Norwegians have always had a tradition to go out into the world. We used to be the world’s largest shipping nation and still have Norwegians adventure and travel dreams. And for some the dream is real,” the invitation says..


“Today you find a little piece of Norway in 80 countries around the globe. The series will take us out there to meet Norwegians living in New York, Dubai and Pattaya. Join us – far from home!”


Linn Mevold Skogheim, head of information for the Norwegian Chruch says the viewers will get a unique insight into the work of the Seamen’s Church.


“Our good employees, volunteers and visitors tell stories that will evoke both laughter and tears,” she promises.


The evening costs 150 Baht nd coffee, pastries and fruit is served.
