The Danish furniture chain BoConcept has opened a new shop in the trendy 112 Katong shopping center in 112 East Coast Road in Singapore.
“We had been looking for a space in the east as we have quite a good number of clients who stay here,” says retail operations manager Kim Brandt Madsen to todayonline.com.
BoConcept has had a store in Paragon since 2009. The new store is only 220sqm and thus substatially smaller but the open concept and layout of the store works in BoConcept’s favour reports todayonline.com.
“At Paragon, we have a small entrance that leads to the space inside; here, the wide entrances and open design allow us to show off our furniture configurations like a studio space so customers can easily walk in and envision how it will look like in their own homes,” Kim Brandt Madsen explains.
“There’s been a lot of interest from shoppers and we gave out more catalogues at the opening than expected.”
