THAI wins ‘Norway Grand Travel Award 2012’

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited has once again won the prestigious award for “Best Intercontinental Airline” in the Norwegian Grand Travel Award 2012. This marks the eighth consecutive year in which Thai Airways International has acclaimed this award.

The Grand Travel Award was attended by leading Travel Agencies and key Decision Makers in the travel trade. The nominees are selected by a travel trade jury, and the voting is conducted by a random selection of more than 800 travel agents from throughout Norway.

Mr. Arnuphap Kittikul , THAI General Manager in Norway, received the award on behalf of THAI at the ceremony in Oslo.

“This award encourages us to always strive for higher standards in the Norwegian market.  We continue our commitment in providing THAI’s renowned products and services.” Mr. Arnuphap Kittikul said.

In the category “Best Tourist Country”, Thailand was the clear winner, once again, from more than ten countries nominated. Mrs. Nalinee Pananon, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand in Scandinavia, received the award on behalf of the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Present at the award ceremony were also Mr. Pricha Nawongs, THAI General Manager in Denmark; Ms. Pannabha Chandraramya, Chargé d’ Affaires Royal Thai Embassy Norway; and Mrs. Veena Bohlin , Marketing Manager Tourism Authority of Thailand , and Mr. Sarawut Patamarangkul , Airport Services Manager Oslo Airport.
