The American-Finnish celebrity chef Sara La Fountain will be cooking up a storm for the fourth edition of the Celebrity Chef Series, jointly presented by American Express and the Asian Food Channel (AFC).
As stated in a press release, from 30 May to 1 June 2012, Chef La Fountain will play host to a series of exclusive dining-related experiences as part of the tour titled A Taste of Finland with Sara La Fountain.
Following the success of previous instalments of the Celebrity Chef Series which were hosted by renowned chefs such as Chuck Hughes, Adrian Richardson and Mark McEwan, the series returns once again, showcasing Chef Sara La Fountain.
Fans of Perfect Day and New Scandinavian Cooking will be thrilled to have Chef La Fountain at a series of cooking demonstrations and ticketed dinners open to public. American Express Card members will also enjoy exclusive and specially-organised sessions with the Scandinavian celebrity chef.
Maria Brown, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Asian Food Channel said they want to provide the viewers and food enthusiasts with the best gastronomic experiences that extend even beyond the great television programming.

Chef La Fountain received training at the world-renowned culinary school, The Culinary Institute of America, located in New York. Now based in Finland, she is a popular media personality who hosts her own cooking show, Avec Sara.
She also stars along other chefs in Perfect Day and New Scandinavian Cooking, which will air on the Asian Food Channel on StarHub Channel 435 beginning early July 2012.
Fans looking to gear up for Chef La Fountain’s visit can also look forward to a week-long special, featuring Chef La Fountain’s episodes from both shows from 14 to 18 May at 7.30pm on the Asian Food Channel.
When she’s not on camera, Chef La Fountain runs a catering service and a cooking school. She also updates her own blog, Passion for Fashion & Food, and is a food columnist for several newspapers and magazines in Finland.
As an author, Chef La Fountain has also published several books including her first book A la Sara which earned her the prestigious Gourmand World Cookbook Award in the “Best First Cookbook” category.
For this edition of the Celebrity Chef Series, cooking demonstrations will be held at the AFC Studio in Orchard Central, while dinners will be hosted at Gattopardo Italian Restaurant & Pizza Bar at Hotel Fort Canning.
Audiences will witness demos of delectable dishes such as Goat Cheese Salad with Beetroot, Dark Sweet Bread Croutons, Marinated Red Onions and Blueberry-Balsamic Vinaigrette; Fried Fish with Summer Potato Vegetable Salad; Summer Pavlova with Passionfruit Cream served with Strawberries and Pistachios.
