Finnair Altered Flights to Asia This Summer

Finnair has adjusted its flight schedules to Asia this summer due to delays of scheduled heavy maintenance work and a shortage of over flight rights during the busy summer season.

Operating 77 flights weekly between Helsinki and Asian destinations still, the following flights of Finnair were forced to be cancelled this summer:

AY41 Helsinki – Seoul: June 12th, June 13th
AY42 Seoul – Helsinki: June 13th, June 14th
AY61 Helsinki – Hong Kong: June 14th, June 15th, June 16th
AY62 Hong Kong – Helsinki: June 15th, June 16th, June 17th
Other flights between Helsinki and Hong Kong (AY69/AY70) remain unaffected.

Additionally, the company has decided to remove a total of four weekly frequencies from the combined Seoul and Hong Kong markets from June 18th through the end of October:

AY041 Helsinki – Seoul: Wednesdays
AY042 Seoul – Helsinki: Thursdays
AY061 Helsinki – Hong Kong: Mondays, Thursdays, Sundays
AY062 Hong Kong – Helsinki: Tuesdays, Fridays, Mondays

Finnair has expressed its apology to customers for any inconvenience it may cause and will directly contact the passengers on the cancelled flights, using current contact information from ‘My Booking’.

Affected Passengers from flights cancellation can contact Finnair’s international customer service or their travel agencies to change the travel dates within 12 months. They can also fill out a refund application in order to get a full refund of the ticket fare.
