Embassy of Sweden re-opens in Kuala Lumpur

The Embassy of Sweden has re-opened to the public on 18 September 2012 in Kuala Lumpur after being closed for over a year.

As the Embassy will be sharing premises with the Swedish Trade Council in GTower until sometime towards the end of the first quarter of 2013, consular services will be somewhat limited. The Embassy will not be able to issue ordinary Swedish passports. Ordinary passports must be applied for either in Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta or Hong Kong. A new passport can however be picked up at the Embassy in Kuala Lumpur for a small extra fee.

Emergency passports can be issued in Kuala Lumpur.
