On the 30 October the Swedish Ambassador to China, Lars Fredén, held a reception for the Sweden Returned Alumni (SRA) network. About 100 alumnis attended the reception.
The SRA network plays an important role, not only as a social network for the members, but also as “ambassadors” for Sweden in China. Upon returning to China the majority of the students have found work and have had use of the skills and experiences acquired during their study time in Sweden.
Members of the network often help the Embassy of Sweden and the Swedish Institute in their work in promoting Sweden as a study destination. SRA posts job opportunities at Swedish companies on their website and they continuously publishes Swedish study-related information and news on their Sina weibo account.
SRA was founded in 2010 and has more than 600 members in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangdong and Sichuan. For more information, please visit the SRA website.
