Crown Prince Haakon impressed by Thai Royal projects

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon and his wife Her Royal Highness Princess Mette Marit visited Chitralada Villa to view projects instituted by His Majesty the King on November 24.
      The Crown Prince expressed himself to be extremely impressed by the projects, while also showing an interest in community loan projects. The projects launched by His Majesty the King to raise Thai people’s living standard based on the use of simple technology which benefited the rural population.
      The Crown Prince and Princess also viewed an exhibition of work by the People and Community Development Association, expressing an interest in a community loan scheme for people suffering from AIDS, and donating approximately Bt 600,000 for the project.
      Making his own comments on the AIDS pandemic, the Crown Prince said that the best approach to address AIDS was for the public and private sectors to work together to disseminate accurate information on the virus.
