MAS upgrades Swedish flights to B747

Malaysian Airlines introduces larger aircraft on the route Kuala Lumpur-Stockholm-New York as demand grows.
Beginning 27 March 2005 are all the three weekly flights to Stockholm serviced by 389 seats Boeing 747-400 instead of the current 278 seat Boeing 777-200 which has flown the route since its inception the fall 2004.
“Demand for the Malaysian flights has been high from the outset. Many have seen the country is not so exploited and has a nice year round climate,” says Mr Niclas Härenstam, press spokesman at LFV Swedish Airports and air navigation services.
Meanwhile Thai Airways introduces a fifth weekly nonstop flight to Stockholm, beginning 22 June 2005. TG uses 389 seat Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
