The Swedish navy school ship HMS Carlscrona honoured tsunami victims in a somber ceremony outside Khao Lak held 27 February.
After speeches by HMS Carlscrona’s Captain Per Ståhl and Sweden’s ambassador to Thailand, Jonas Hafström, a wreath was laid in the sea.
A silent minute followed after which the crew sang the Swedish national anthem.
The ship is currently in Singapore, it will arrive in Bangkok on 7 March and stay in Thailand the full week.
