A Swedish parliamentary delegation led by third deputy house speaker Ms Helena Höij participates in the Inter-Parliamentary Union, IPU, spring session in Manila between 3 and 8 April.
The main theme for all sessions is how national and international action plans in a range of areas affect women in society.
The other participants in Sweden’s delegation are Mr Berndt Ekholm, Mr Henrik S Järrel, Ms Inger Lundberg, Mr Kaj Nordquist, Mr Erling Bager, Mr Holger Gustafsson and Ms Lotta Hedström.
IPU was set up 1889 and organises parliaments in independent states. It aims to further contacts and promote exchange of experiences between parliamentarians all over the world.
