Metso closes Thai deal

The Finnish pulp and paper corporation Metso Paper has been awarded a contract for upgrading of the oxygen delignification process at the mill of
Siam Cellulose in Thailand.
Introducing the new process will lead to a higher
delignification degree in the oxygen delignification process prior to
the final bleaching stage.
It does also reduce the need for chlorine based bleaching chemicals and, consequently, the effluent from the mill.
The order comprise main machinery, basic engineering and supervision work by Metso.
