KL Vikings in The SSL Cup final for the first time

The Danish football team in Kuala Lumpur, the KL Vikings, has had a successful season recently ending up in the finals of The SSL Cup for the first time. The team won all matches in their group and managed to win both knock out matches in the quarter and semi finals. Expectations were therefore high before the final which was played on 18 June 2005.
The opponents, the present title holders Mizuno, got best from start scoring 2 goals in the first half on only two chances. The KL Vikings took charge of the game after the break and had a lot of chances… but not much luck! Despite excellent support from their 30 or so fans they only scored once to a final result of 2-1 to Mizuno.
Obviously the KL Vikings were extremely disappointed with the result but they did play a good match and deserved their end of season party after the final with all the teams participating in the Cup.
The KL Vikings also plays in the Premier league of the KL Social Soccer League and ended the season as third.
