Aspocomp to boost PCB Centre share

Aspocomp Group will increases its stake in its Thai subsidiary PCB Centre Co Ltd from 51 per cent to 75 per cent by buying a 24-per-cent portion worth Bt150 million from minority shareholders.
The deal is part of Aspocomp’s growth strategy. Under the plan, the company will bolster its position in printed circuit boards for handheld devices and in the telecom and automotive industries.
“The transaction further consolidates our position in Asia and it is expected to have a slightly positive effect on our earnings per share in this year,” said Maija-Liisa Friman, Aspocomp’s president and CEO.
The plant has a production capacity of 250,000 square metres. It makes double-sided and multi-layered PCBs for telecom, industrial and automotive applications.
