Norwegian ambassador to Vietnam HE Mr. Kjell Storløkken together with ambassadors from Canadian, New Zealand, and Switzerland pledged to continue a support on Vietnam’s poverty reduction efforts and will strengthen their cooperation with the Vietnamese government in different fields.
“The available natural resources constitute a great potential for the region, However, alternative strategies need to be found which enable poor people to become active participants in the economic development rather than remain passive beneficiaries of poverty reduction programs.” the statement said.
The group’s statement was issued following a recent visit to Dak Nong, Dak Lak and Gia Lai by the Ambassadors of the four countries.
