Ericsson to Supply Network to Natrindo

Swedish wireless equipment maker LM Ericsson has signed an agreement to provide network systems to Indonesian operator PT Natrindo Telepon Seluler in Jakarta and surrounding areas.
Under the two-year contract, Ericsson has to build, operate and manage the mobile network of Natrindo. It will supply equipment for the operator’s both 2G and 3G/WCDMA radio network in addition to upgrading Natrindo’s existing network.
According to the Ericsson press release, Natrindo President Kusnadi Sukarja stated “Ericsson has had a long-standing partnership with Malaysian operator Maxis, having been a key supplier for its 2G and 3G network, as well as a partner in the operations and management of the Maxis 3G network. Taking this into consideration, and with the challenging timelines in the rollout and implementation of this project, we felt that Ericsson was best suited for the job”
