Jaakko Pöyry Awarded Two New Contracts In Philippines

Electrowatt-Ekono Philippines, Inc., which is part of the Finnish Jaakko Pöyry Group’s Energy business group, has been awarded an operation and maintenance (O&M) contract by CIPP II Power Corporation worth Euro 3 million.
         The award is an extension for a further three years of a previous operation and maintenance contract for the 21-megawatt fuel oil-fired independent power plant located south of Manila.
         Electrowatt-Ekono Philippines has been performing the O&M for CIPP since 2000. CIPP is the Philippines subsidiary of Ascendas Real Estate Investment in Singapore.
         Meanwhile, Electrowatt-Ekono Philippines, Inc. was also awarded a three-year operation and maintenance (O&M) contract by FR Cement Corporation. The contract value is EUR 0.9 million.
         The award is an extension of the company’s previous operation and maintenance contract for the 17.5 MW fuel oil fired independent power plant. Electrowatt-Ekono Philippines has been performing the O&M for FR Cement since 2002 and has previously performed extensive rehabilitation work for the client. FR Cement Corporation is part of the Lafarge Associated Companies in the Philippines and is based in Teresa, Rizal.
