New top management at Maersk Bangkok and Manila

Maersk Group has appointed Mr. Michel Deleuran as the new managing director of Maersk Bangkok Branch. Mr. Deleuran has now started working in his new position, succeeding Mr. Peter S. Linnemann who has been posted to a new top job in Europe after only a few years in Thailand.       Mr. Deleuran was the president of Maersk-Filipinas Inc., based in Manila, Philippines from 2000-2003. He started working with A.P. Moller Group in 1983 in Maersk Drilling and Purchasing before being posted to Cairo, Egypt in 1986. He worked with Maersk in various positions in Taipei, Taiwan from 1986-1989, then in Corporate Human Resources in Copenhagen, Denmark until 1996. In 1996 he moved to Singapore as the general manager of Intra-Asia and Far East/Middle East Services prior to assuming the top position in Manila in 2000 and in Bangkok in May this year.       Mr. Kim H. Sorensen meanwhile succeeds Mr. Deleuran as the new president of Maersk-Filipinas Inc. Mr. Sorensen was previously based in Moscow in the position of general manager for Maersk’s Trans-Siberian railway project.       Mr. Linnemann has already started his new position in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where he is in charge of all Maersk activities in Central Europe, among others including Netherlands, Benelux and Germany.
