Peter Gade Out of Malaysian Open

Although being Denmark’s leading badminton player, Peter Gade was outplayed when he faced Chen Jin from China in the quarter-final of the Malaysian Open. The defeat came only three months after Peter Gade lost to the same young Chinese player in the China Masters tournament.
Peter Gade lost the first set 15-21, but fought his way back into the match by winning the second set 21-13. However, in the third and final set the Danish player was completely outmatched as Chen Jin turned up the pace of his already incredibly speedy game. The set ended 21-8 in Jen’s favor, giving him the match victory.

Two Danish Doubles Reach Semi-finals
In spite of Peter Gade’s early exit, Denmark still have a chance at success in the prestigious tournament. The two mixed double teams – Jonas Rasmussen and Britta Andersen as well as Jens Eriksen and Mette Schjoldager – has qualified for the semi-finals, which will be played this weekend.
