Norway Teaches Human Rights In Aceh

The Norwegian government and the Indonesian Ministry of Justice and Human Rights will assist the Indonesian police in providing human rights courses for its officers in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam province.
The Norwegian Embassy in Jakarta has sent a delegation to Aceh to discuss preparations for the courses with Aceh Provincial Secretary Husni Bahri.
The delegation also met with Chief of the Aceh Provincial Police Inspector General Bachrumsyah Kasman and on Wednesday (June 28th) they left for Lhokseumawe Municipality to meet with local officials and police.
The courses had originally been intended for police officers, but Husni Bahri asked the organizing committee to include civilian state investigators, municipal police officers and sharia police members in the courses.
