Nokia Lands High Speed Deal In Singapore

The value of the agreement is 30 million U.S. dollars, according to a statement issued by Finnish mobile phone manufacturer Nokia.
With Nokia’s support, M1 is expected to offer its mobile customers a network with download speeds of up to 3.6 megabits per second (Mbps) and the latest multimedia services in the last quarter of this year.
Under the agreement Nokia is also to expand M1’s 3G radio network coverage, upgrade M1’s core network and offer M1 network optimization and deployment services comprising installation, commissioning, integration and acceptance testing of the network.
Nokia is M1’s sole core network and WCDMA 3G network supplier.
