July 19 marks the anniversary of HM King Chulalongkorn’s visit to Utanede in Ragunda municipality 1897. Now the site of a Thai pavilion erected in the 1990’s as well as being a center for Swedish – Thai relations, Ragunda arranges ceremonies and events every July 19. This year Thailand’s ambassador in Sweden, Mr. Apichart Chinwanno, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture in Thailand, Mr. Vira Rojpojchanarat and the governor of Jämtland County Ms. Maggi Mikaelsson, honoured the event with their presence together with many Swedish and Thai friends.
