Norway in Asia seminar in March 2003

The conference takes place again this year at Beaufort Hotel on Singapore’s Sentosa Island on 13th and 14th March 2003, organised jointly by the Norwegian Business Association in Singapore, the Norwegian School of Management, the Norwegian Embassy in Singapore and other embassies in the region.
The event is subtitled Experiences and Expectations. The three main points on the agenda are Coporate Strategies for entering the region, the Singapore Perspective and Working abroad as a Norwegian.
The regional meeting is an extension of the successful seminars held for Norwegian business in ASEAN over the last 5 years. These seminars have grown into the largest meeting place for Norwegian business in the area and represent an excellent opportunity to meet and interact with Norwegian business managers and representatives from governmental bodies and ministries.
What also makes this annual event unique, is the increasing number of businessmen from Norway – with or without companies in the region – who have started to put this recurring conference into their schedule. Many Norwegians follow in their daily activities the developments in the Asia Pacific region only at a distance. For them, this conference is a prime opportunity to keep abreast of developments and generate new contacts in the region.
The overall objective is to gather Norwegian and Norwegian associated business representatives
     – to take stock of the political and economic climate in the region
     – to share the experience from working here
     – to network – among the businessmen and the embassies/NTC-offices and representatives from official institutions in Norway.
